ProNest Collision Avoidance

The Collision Avoidance module has two functions. It positions the lead-in/out locations for interior and exterior profiles so that the cutting head always moves away from previous cuts. This allows the cutting head to stay down continuously and fully retract when crossing a potential hazard. It also optimizes the internal cut-sequence for interior profiles and the traverse path, avoiding unnecessary travel and possible cutting head crash scenarios. Depending on process, this option offers a big production time savings potential that can add up to many minutes per day and days per year. Equipment repair/replacement costs and production down-time can also be eliminated by using this option making it a very inexpensive insurance policy against such eventualities.
